Structure and function of load switch

The structural characteristics and functions of the load switch: the high voltage load switch is a high voltage electrical appliance between the high voltage isolation switch and the high voltage, which is similar to the circuit breaker in performance and similar to the high voltage isolation switch in structure, and has an obvious disconnect point.

The high voltage load switch has a simple arc extinguishing device, which can open and disconnect the circuit under the condition of rated voltage and rated current. However, because the arc extinguishing structure of the high-voltage load switch is designed according to the rated current, the short-circuit current cannot be cut off. When the high-voltage load switch and high-voltage fuse are used together, the high-voltage load switch splits and closes the normal load circuit, and the high-voltage fuse breaks the short-circuit current. The combination of high-voltage load switches and high-voltage fuses in series is often used in low-capacity distribution systems of l0kv and below.

Function: The high-voltage load switch is similar to the high-voltage isolation switch in structure, has an obvious disconnect point, and is similar to the circuit breaker in performance. It is a high-voltage electrical appliance between the high-voltage isolation switch and the high-voltage circuit breaker. It can divide and combine the load current within the rated current range and cut off the overload current which is not large. The fault current cannot be divided or combined. After opening, there is an obvious disconnect point, which can isolate the electrical appliance, can be used as a switching point for small and medium-sized equipment and lines, and can be equipped with a high-voltage fuse that can disconnect the fault current.
